1 Booking & Delivery Policy
- All bookings are processed in accordance with the sender's specified requirements and shall be deemed confirmed upon confirmation by the sender.
- Customers must ensure that complete and accurate sender and receiver details are provided at the time of booking, including full name, contact number, delivery address, and an accurate description of the goods being shipped — including product type, quantity, and any special handling requirements.
- Documents must be securely sealed, and goods must be adequately and properly packed before pickup. The sender bears full responsibility for proper packaging. The company will not be held liable for any damage resulting from insufficient or improper packing.
- The sender shall be solely responsible for ensuring that all statutory documents, invoices, and compliance requirements (including GST documentation, if applicable) are properly maintained. The company shall not be responsible for any penalties, confiscation, or legal consequences arising from non-compliance by the sender.
- By placing a booking, the customer acknowledges and agrees to comply with company policies in full.
2 Prohibited Items
Any shipment found to contain dangerous, hazardous, illegal, or prohibited items shall be considered a serious violation of company policy. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
- Explosives, fireworks, flammable liquids
- Gas cylinders, chemicals, acids
- Narcotics, illegal drugs, firearms, ammunition
- Counterfeit goods, cash, gold, precious stones
- Loose lithium batteries
- Alcohol, tobacco products
- Biohazard materials
- Any other items restricted or prohibited under applicable laws
3 Payment Policy
- All bookings become final upon confirmation.
- All payments must be made strictly to the company's official QR code provided to the customer.
- The company does not request or accept payments made directly to any individual's personal account under any circumstances. The company shall not be responsible for any such payments made directly to a driver or personal account.
- Payments are accepted only if the amount is credited to the company's official account.
- Pricing is subject to change based on vehicle type, seasonal demand, peak-hour charges, and other applicable operational factors.
- All charges are inclusive / exclusive of GST as mentioned in the invoice.
- Additional charges (waiting, loading/unloading, tolls) may apply if applicable.
4 Cancellation & Refunds
- Customers may cancel a booking only prior to confirmation. Once a booking is confirmed, cancellation will not be permitted.
- Any cancellation made after booking confirmation will result in forfeiture of the full payment. No refunds shall be provided under any circumstances.
- In cases where a booking is confirmed without prior full payment, and the customer cancels before delivery or service completion, the customer shall remain fully liable to pay the entire agreed amount.
- Upon completion and confirmation of booking with successful payment, the payment made shall be non-refundable under any circumstances.
5 Waiting Charges
A standard waiting time of 10 minutes is allowed after the vehicle reaches the customer's location. Thereafter, the following waiting charges apply:
- First hour: ₹20
- Each additional hour: ₹15 per hour
Any applicable waiting charges shall be payable in addition to the original invoice amount, and a revised invoice will be shared with the customer.
6 Invoicing
- All invoices will be electronically generated and shared via Email and WhatsApp.
- Being system-generated, these invoices do not require a signature.
- All charges are inclusive / exclusive of GST as mentioned in the invoice.
7 Liability & Service Disruptions
- The company shall not be held responsible for any delay, loss, or failure in service arising from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to accidents, traffic conditions, vehicle breakdowns, mechanical issues, road conditions, or other unforeseen operational disruptions.
- In the event of theft, loss, or damage to the goods while in transit or under the driver's custody, the driver shall bear full financial responsibility. All such losses shall be paid exclusively by the driver, subject to applicable laws and company policies.
- Route 8 Logistics reserves the absolute right to cancel, suspend, or reassign any trip from the customer or driver end at its sole discretion, without prior notice. Such action may be taken in the interest of safety, operational requirements, policy compliance, or any other reason deemed necessary by the company.
8 Jurisdiction & General
- Any complaints or disputes must be raised within 24 hours of delivery through the official customer support channels. The company shall investigate and respond within a reasonable time.
- The company maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward bribery, illegal payments, or unlawful inducements.
- The Code of Conduct and Human Rights Policy of Route 8 Logistics strictly prohibits discrimination against employees, drivers, delivery partners, clients, and customers on the basis of gender, culture, religion, race, caste, location, or any other protected characteristic.
- All personal data collected from customers, drivers, and partners shall be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws. The company shall not share personal data with unauthorised third parties.
- The company reserves the right to modify these policies at any time. Updated policies shall be effective upon publication.
- All disputes are subject to Bengaluru jurisdiction only.
