1 Registration & Eligibility
To register as a delivery partner with Route 8 Logistics, the following is required:
- Drivers must provide a valid driving licence, Aadhaar card, and complete vehicle details including the registration number.
- Only commercially registered vehicles (yellow board) are permitted for operations.
- Drivers may cancel their registration with the company at any time if they choose to discontinue.
2 Vehicle Requirements
- Drivers must ensure vehicles are roadworthy, properly maintained, and compliant with applicable transport regulations at all times.
- Drivers are permitted to perform delivery services only using the vehicle that is registered and approved by the company.
- The use of any other vehicle without prior written approval is not allowed.
- If a driver is found operating with an unregistered vehicle, the company reserves the right to suspend or terminate the driver's association immediately.
3 Trip Allocation & Completion
- Trips are generally allocated as one-way services and are not considered round trips.
- Upon confirmation of a user booking, Route 8 Logistics shall allocate the trip to a driver at its discretion, based on location and operational considerations. Sender details will be disclosed only to the assigned driver.
- Drivers shall use customer and sender details strictly for the purpose of completing the allocated trip. Misuse of customer information for any unauthorised, illegal, personal, or fraudulent activities is strictly prohibited.
- Any involvement in illegal activities, harassment, unauthorised contact, or misuse of customer details will result in immediate termination of the driver's contract and may lead to legal action.
- Any trip allocated to a driver is mandatory and must be completed.
- The displayed trip fare is inclusive of all applicable charges and shall be considered final. No additional claims or extra payments will be entertained under any circumstances.
- Drivers shall receive payment from the company only upon successful completion of the assigned trip.
4 Cancellation Policy
Drivers are not permitted to refuse or cancel an allocated trip. The following terms apply in case of cancellation:
- In the event of cancellation by the driver, a cancellation charge of ₹250 per trip will be applicable.
- The cancellation charge must be paid within 3 days from the date of cancellation.
- If a driver cancels more than three (3) trips within a single calendar month, Route 8 Logistics reserves the right to terminate the driver's contract agreement and remove the driver from the company with immediate effect.
5 Payment & Earnings
- Drivers shall receive payment from the company only upon successful completion of the assigned trip.
- The displayed trip fare is inclusive of all applicable charges and is considered final.
- No additional claims or extra payments will be entertained under any circumstances.
6 Code of Conduct
- Drivers must maintain professional conduct and avoid harassment, discrimination, abusive behaviour, or misconduct toward customers at all times.
- Drivers must strictly adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- The company shall not be responsible for any violations, including drinking and driving or reckless driving, under any circumstances.
- Drivers are required to operate vehicles safely and responsibly at all times.
- In case of accident, breakdown, or emergency, drivers must immediately inform the company's support team.
- Drivers are not bound by fixed working hours or specific working days and may choose to operate at their convenience.
7 Prohibited Items
Any shipment found to contain dangerous, hazardous, illegal, or prohibited items shall be considered a serious violation of company policy. Prohibited items include but are not limited to:
- Explosives, fireworks, flammable liquids (petrol, diesel, thinner)
- Gas cylinders, chemicals, acids
- Narcotics, illegal drugs, firearms, ammunition
- Counterfeit goods, cash, gold, precious stones
- Loose lithium batteries
- Alcohol (without licence), tobacco (without authorisation)
- Biohazard materials
- Any item restricted or prohibited under applicable laws
8 Liability & Safety
- The company shall not be held responsible for any delay, loss, or failure in service arising from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to accidents, traffic conditions, vehicle breakdowns, mechanical issues, or road conditions.
- In the event of theft, loss, or damage to goods while in transit or under the driver's custody, the driver shall bear full financial responsibility, subject to applicable laws and company policies.
- Route 8 Logistics operates as a transport operator and may provide vehicle services either directly or through authorised transport operators, subject to availability and operational requirements.
- Route 8 Logistics reserves the absolute right to cancel, suspend, or reassign any trip at its sole discretion, without prior notice.
- All disputes are subject to Bengaluru jurisdiction only.
9 Maximum Payload Limits
The approved maximum payload capacity is defined as follows. Exceeding these limits will constitute a violation of company policy and shall be solely the driver's responsibility:
